Notes: Munari's car crashed on a Yugoslav motorway, killing his co-driver Luciano Lombardini,
       who was driving at the time. New & Chitty crashed into a french car near Le Mans - the
       car burst into flames, killing the french driver. New suffered concussion, Chitty
       suffered bruising. New was then charged with manslaughter. Zasada withdrew from the rally
       because of the sudden death of his father on the 25th - he had been 8th.
       229 entries, 200 starters, 153 finishers.
       Start cities were Dover, Lisbon, Warsaw, Oslo, Monte Carlo, Athens, Frankfurt and Reims.
